Best Buy store return policy.

This policy applies only to purchases made at Best Buy retail stores and may vary slightly from the Best Buy.com Return Policy.

Your original receipt is required for all returns, exchanges, price matches and warranty repair services. All returns and exchanges must be in original condition and include all accessories. All returns, exchanges and price adjustments must be made in the country of original purchase. Best Buy reserves the right to request identification and to deny any return.

30-day return period
We accept returns or exchanges 30 days from the original purchase. Please review the exceptions below.

14-day return period
We accept returns or exchanges 14 days from the original purchase on computers, monitors, notebook computers, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors and video games purchased as used.

Non-returnable items
Non-returnable items include labor and/or installation services, consumable items such as phone cards, iTunes prepaid music cards, Best Buy Digital Music Store cards, food and drink, or items that are damaged or abused. Opened computer software, movies, music and video games can be exchanged for the identical item but cannot be returned for a refund.

Restocking fee
A restocking fee of 15% will be charged on opened notebook computers, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors, GPS/navigation and in-car video systems unless defective or prohibited by law. A restocking fee of 25% will be charged on Special Order Products, including appliances unless defective or prohibited by law.

Rebate policy
Any product that was purchased when a mail-in rebate was available on the purchase is subject to having the amount of the rebate deducted from the refund amount. Unless noted otherwise, all rebates are limited to one per product, per household or address.

Promotional items
Any product that is returned without a promotional item(s) included with the original transaction (e.g. buy TV, get free DVD player; buy TV, get free gift card; or buy TV, get DVD player half off) will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the refund amount.

Refund method
Refund will be in the same form as original purchase. Exceptions: Cash, debit or check purchases over $250 will be refunded in the form of a mail check within 10 business days of return.

Note regarding personal data on returned or exchanged products
Please remove all personal data (e.g. computer or wireless phone data, videotapes) from any returned or exchanged products. Best Buy is not responsible for any personal data left on or in a returned or exchanged product.

For purchases made in a Magnolia Home Theater store, you can return items to a Magnolia Home Theater store within a select Best Buy store near you. To ensure you receive the best possible service, Magnolia Home Theater products can be returned to Magnolia Home Theater stores only. Please do not return these items to Best Buy locations without Magnolia Home Theater stores.
