Returns and Exchanges
Whether you make a purchase at Kohls.com or one of our stores nationwide, returns and exchanges are always easy at Kohl's!
To make your return or exchange experience the best it can be, we've adjusted our policy to exactly match the circumstances of the purchase: a gift, an online purchase, or a Kohl's Department Store purchase.

Luckily, buying a gift at Kohl's is a gift in itself: with every gift purchase, we include a gift receipt to make gift-returning and exchanging easy.

All items returned to a store with a gift receipt will be credited with a Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit (KMRC) or credited to a Kohl's Charge. Gifts returned to Kohls.com will be credited to the recipient's credit card*. Our Kohl's gift recipients have three options:

*Please allow approximately 10 days for your credit to be applied to your credit card after the return/exchange has been processed at our fulfillment center. To avoid delays, simply bring your return(s)/exchange(s) to any Kohl's near you.

1.  Return/Exchange to a store:
For gifts purchased either in-store or online, just bring the item you'd like to return/exchange and your gift receipt to the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store near you.

2.  Return by mail:
If your gift arrived by mail from Kohl's, you can return it by mail*. Just fill out the Return & Exchange Form that accompanied your gift, and pack the merchandise and gift receipt into a sturdy box. Then, apply the supplied return label. (Please send all shipments prepaid.)

We understand that making returns by mail can sometimes be the most convenient for our customers. If you do choose to return any Kohls.com purchase by mail, please include the tags for all the items and remember that items should not have been worn or used.ents prepaid.)

*We're sorry, we are not able to accept returns by mail for items purchased in-store. If you purchased your item(s) in-store, please return it to the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store near you.

3.  Exchange by mail:
If your gift arrived by mail from Kohl's, you can exchange it by mail*. We treat your exchange as a new order to make it easier for you to track your purchase online and to correctly credit your return.

New Item Exhange-To exchange an item for a different item, please follow the “Return by Mail” instructions above. Then, shop Kohls.com to place a new order.

Exchange- To exchange an item for the same item in a different size or color, simply complete the Return & Exchange form that accompanied your gift. (Shop Kohls.com to find the necessary product information about your replacement item.) Then, follow the “Return by Mail” instructions above.

online purchases
As a Kohls.com customer, you have three convenient options to return or exchange your online purchases.
Kohls.com purchases will be credited* to the account used to make the purchase, unless you indicate otherwise. If you'd like to receive a credit on a different credit card account, please complete the “Credit/Payment” method section of the Return & Exchange form that accompanied your order.

Please note: To avoid return shipping & handling costs, please choose to return your Kohls.com purchase to a Kohl's Store near you.

department store purchases
Our Easy Return & Exchange Policy means a convenient way to return or exchange an in-store purchase. Just bring the item you'd like to return or exchange to the Customer Service Desk of any Kohl's store* near you, and we'll take care of the rest.

*Remember, returns/exchanges for in-store purchases can only be completed in-store.

Here's how we'll credit your purchase.

Without a Receipt, you may be given one of the following:*
1. An even exchange.
2. A Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit (KMRC), good at any Kohl's.
3. A credit to your Kohl's Charge Card, if your items were purchased on your Kohl's Charge.
4. A corporate-issued refund.

With a Receipt, you may be given one of the following:*
1. A cash or credit refund, based on the original method of payment.
2. An even exchange.
3. A Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit (KMRC), good at any Kohl's.
4. A corporate-issued refund.

With a Kohl's Gift Receipt, you may be given one of the following:*
1. A Kohl's Merchandise Return Credit.
2. An even exchange.
3. A corporate-issued refund.

* Purchases that earn Kohl's Cash Coupons or purchases in which Kohl's Cash Coupons were tendered may result in an adjusted refund amount and/or decreased coupon value.

gift card purchases
We're sorry, but gift cards purchased either in-store or online cannot be returned.
